Visit to Eventide Home |
Reaching
out to the elderly and less fortunate is an important part of our Catholic
education here at St. Agatha School and it’s never too early to
start teaching those lessons.
Recently Mrs.Wholey and Mrs. Donovan brought their Kindergarteners and First Graders to the Eventide Home in Quincy to spread a little Christmas cheer to the residents. Singing a combination of Christmas and patriotic songs, the children entertained and delighted their captive audience. When Hillary Jean-Gilles confidently performed several selections on her violin, the residents marveled at her talent and clapped enthusiastically. By taking
the time to visit and brighten the day for this group of Eventide residents,
these children learned a valuable lesson about giving a gift that doesn’t
cost a lot of money and can last a lot longer than many store bought
presents! |
