Amanda
Kelly our current Miss Massachusetts came to St. Agatha
School on Friday, February 26, to accept a donation to
the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Grade Four Student's at St. Agatha School decided to have
a "Book-It" challenge to raise money as part
of our school's mission to contribute to those in need
through social outreach. With the help of Mrs. Mary-Ann
Casinelli, Miss. Jen Concannon, and Miss. Nancy Chapman,
58 student's read 600 books to raise $2, 000 for Make-a-Wish.
Because this was so popular among the grade four students
the children actually requested of their teachers the
chance to raise even more funds for another social outreach
program. The teachers and students in grade five decided
that they also wanted to join in and have begun their
own "Book-It" challenge. Students are hoping
to raise even more money than before and this time, donate
to The American Red Cross for the Haitian Disaster Relief
Fund.
