Over the course of this past year the students of Grade 8 (Class of 2011) have gathered together with a "Buddy” from Kindergarten to read stories, practice counting, learn about money, and to do me crafts around the holidays. It has been a wonderful experience for both the eighth grade students and the kindergarteners. Both classes have learned from each other, and lots of happy memories were made. During the final week of school,
they met for the last time to say “Good-Bye”.
The students celebrated by having a popsicle party out in the school yard where they played games and blew bubbles. A good time was had by all!
We wish our graduating class good luck as they ventured on high school in the Fall, and to our very special “Buddies” congratulations and welcome to “First Grade!” |
