On
November 11, we remember those members of our military
who are serving - or who have served- in our Armed Forces,
both at home and abroad. On Wednesday, November 10th,
our middle school students ended the day with a Memorial
Service. Mrs. Ann Louise Sullivan, our Grade 8 History
teacher, developed this service many years ago. During
the service, students remembered the conflicts in which
our American soldiers have fought throughout the centuries.
The service began with a remembrance of those who gave
their lives for our independence from England, the American
Revolutionary soldiers, and continues to our present-day
wars. The service ended with our prayer for the safe return
of those soldiers now serving in the Middle East. Finally,
students placed memorial on the altar so that all students
will remember to pray for peace. At Christmastime, many
of our students will make prayer cards to mail to our
soldiers overseas. Please join us in prayer for those
families-especially our own St. Agatha School families-
whose soldiers are serving our country far from home today.
