The Siris family...with the help of a couple of Aunts/Uncles, spent Columbus Day painting the
50 Nifty United States in the back parking lot.

Mr. Siris saw a similar map at a playground at another school, at the time Melanie was in 3rd grade studying the states. The Siris' wanted their 3 children to learn about the states and somehow incorporate it with making this giant colorful map at St. Agatha School. They needed to find a time to make it where everyone could chip in, so they decided Columbus Day was a great time to do it. So Mr. & Mrs. Siris, with the assistance of their 3 children LC, AJ, and Melanie, along with Mrs. Siris' 2 sisters and brother-n-law, came out early and with a 16 by 27 foot template, completed the project in one day. It was a very educational project. 
Even the adults learned a thing or two about our States!
